This little sweetie was very patient while we opened presents. She just took it all in.

Junie, my niece, looks so cute as a reindeer! It is so much fun to hear her talking now, especially her constant, "Oh WOW!"

Update N' Stuff

Hello all......I say 'all' but I know I'm talking to just a few of you, but we're so glad you read! I've been a first class slacker with the blog lately, but I thought I'd pop in for a minute and give an update on the 'not that exciting to anyone but us' happenings in the Bryant family.

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and New Year. We had a GREAT Christmas this year. Mercy had no clue as to what was going on. It was all the same to her- eat, sleep, poop, coo, look too cute for her own good, you get the idea. But Tyson and I greatly enjoyed our first Christmas with her. We also had a wonderful time at my parents' house. It was so much fun playing the Wii dance revolution (I am so uncoordinated!) and Rigamarole with my parents, Bridger, and Jen. Their new house has such an atmosphere of relaxation, too. It was nice! For New Year's Eve, Tyson and I celebrated in the Bryant household tradition- we went to bed early! As you parents know, at this stage, sleep and quiet are priceless!

Mercy is almost four months old, and is changing by the minute! Just today she rolled over for the first time (from tummy to back), she laughed out loud for the first time, and we noticed her trying to copy our facial expressions for the first time! Here are a pictures from a couple of weeks ago:

Today is our 6th wedding anniversary! Tyson took Mercy and I to dinner tonight to celebrate. It was nice getting out of the house for dinner, even though Mountain Home (MoHo, as us 'long time' residents prefer to call it) has only the finest, haha, to offer in dining experiences. These past six years have been so wonderful, and we look forward to many, many more!
I do have some Christmas pics I'd like to post, but they are still on my camera and I am too lazy right now to upload them onto the computer. So check back!

Bath Time at the Bryant's

Mercy LOVES bath time. Even if she has been cranky and fussy all day, she'll cheer right up with a bath. She kicks her feet and waves her arms, splashing water all over, often on Mommy and Daddy! She hates getting out of the bath, but I think we've made that less of a fussy thing by putting her towel in the dryer while she's bathing, then she has a nice, warm towel afterward (she isn't a picky and particular girl or anything....I wonder where she gets that, haha!). Anyway, we love giving her a bath, as we have fun laughing at her antics. Enjoy the pictures!

Tis the Season

It has been awhile since I’ve updated on what we’ve been doing. I know you all love Mercy pictures, and I promise to post some bath time pics pretty soon, but in the meantime, I’ll bore you with our goings on!

This year Christmas is extra special for Tyson and me. I know Mercy has no clue what is going on, but she makes it extra special for us this year. I love snuggling my baby next to our Christmas tree and talking to her while I bake goodies. We even bought her gifts! I know, I know, silly right? However, Tyson had the wonderful idea for each of us to buy her a couple of gifts and keep it a secret from one another. We’ll open her gifts for her on Christmas morning and be surprised.

We have been busy celebrating the season since Thanksgiving. We decorated our home the weekend after Thanksgiving, though we didn’t decorate as much as we usually do- we just didn’t have the energy! Tyson’s family visited the week after Thanksgiving and during that week we hung up Christmas lights outside and visited the Winter Garden Aglow at the Idaho Botanical Gardens. It is always such a beautiful display of holiday lights! Last Friday I attended a holiday cookie exchange (yum!) and on Saturday the whole family attended our church Christmas dinner. It was so neat to celebrate with our church family! We enjoyed fellowship, delicious food, and sang Christmas carols. Next Saturday we will be attending a Christmas open house and going to a wedding. We’ll be spending Christmas Eve at home, just the three of us. Depending on Mercy’s mood that evening, we’ll probably drive around town to look at Christmas lights. Sometime in the afternoon on Christmas day we’ll drive to Rupert to spend a few days with my family. Phew! Busy month!
