A Great Time With Grandma and Grandpa

We had such a nice time with my parents this past weekend. They flew up on Thursday and stayed until Sunday. We've been skyping once a week with my parents, so Mercy recognized them right away. She loves her grandma and grandpa. She was generous with her kisses with Grandma, and she LOVES playing with Grandpa, as you can tell from the pictures below. It was great to see them, and we can't wait to go back to Idaho in June!

On the Way to Church

I took this picture on the way to church this morning. Mt. Rainier looked amazing with those clouds around it. I love our drive into town!

7 Months

Looking pretty in her Easter dress!
Mercy Lee is seven months old today! She is changing so fast. I probably say that every month. At her six month check up, our pediatrician prescribed medication for her reflux, which had not gotten any better with solid foods. In fact, the reflux was making her fussy after meals. Anyway, now that she has been getting the medicine, she is more willing to spend time on her tummy (tummy time made her reflux worse). Now she prefers to be on her tummy and rolls onto her stomach whenever we put her on her back. Mercy isn't crawling yet, but she is wiggling her way around. And she can sit up on her own, but I have to put her in the sitting position first. She is making better progress now that she can tolerate being on her stomach for long periods of time.
Mercy loves being around other people. She smiles and flirts with strangers at the store, the library, and church. And she loves to talk! I just love the facial expressions that go along with her baby talk. She can look so serious sometimes, like she is really trying to tell me something. Her favorite word right now is dada! Though she doesn't really associate dada with Tyson yet.
Mercy continues to grow the most in her length. She is already beginning to grow out of her 6-9 month clothes due to her length! It won't be long before I'm boxing those clothes up too. I can't wait to see what changes are in store for her this month!

Fun at the Park

You can just see the white peak of Mt. Rainier in the distance.
Mercy sure has fun with her daddy!
She loves being on his shoulders.
We were checking out the pond. There are thick berry bushes surrounding the pond.
The girl loves being outside.
She liked the slide once. The second time down wasn't so much fun.

The weather here has finally started to feel like spring. Yesterday it was warm and sunny, so we took the opportunity to go to the park in Eatonville. The Mill Pond Park is so nice! It has fairly new playground equipment, beautiful landscaping, and a paved path around the pond. And, of course, you can see Mt. Rainier in the distance. Mercy really enjoyed walking around the park. We overheard someone say that sometimes the river otters find their way into the pond, but we didn't see them.
