Puppy Love

Our lab, Moose, just loves and adores Tyson. Moose follows him everywhere and gets so excited whenever Tyson takes him somewhere or plays with him. A couple of nights ago, Tyson stretched out on the floor and Moose had himself a nice little snuggle. So cute!

18 Weeks

There is no denying that baby bump now! I've started wearing maternity clothes most of the time now, even though the pants are all still a bit big (much more comfortable though!). I've noticed that my coworkers now look at my belly as they ask me how I'm doing. And I have been doing really well. I feel wonderful, and I have to say that I am really enjoying pregnancy. All the changes are quite fun! The baby moves a lot now, though we still can't feel them on the outside. Soon, I hope! I feel bad for Tyson every time I get excited at a movement, since he can't experience that with me.

I am at a weird hair stage right now. I know that doesn't really seem to have anything to do with pregnancy, but it does! Right around the time I got pregnant, I cut my hair in to a shorter bob. However, being pregnant has made my hair grow like crazy, and I couldn't keep up with my new shorter cut. So, I've thrown in the towel for now and I'm just letting it grow out. I just hate those in between stages! Anyway, that part of my post was for the understanding women...sorry to the few guys who read our blog!

Fun Weekend

Last weekend we drove down to Rupert to spend a couple of days with my family and to celebrate my mom’s 51st birthday. Last year, when she turned 50, we didn’t do anything to tease her about hitting a new decade…I guess it is because she just seems too young! To make up for it, Tyson and I gave my mom a mini coffin filled with lots of silly gag gifts, some of which she is wearing in the picture. I’m glad my mom knows how to have a good time!

The Mystery Continues.....

The baby refused to uncross his/her legs, despite the unusual amount of time our wonderful doctor spent on the ultrasound. I even got up for a while and moved around in hopes that the baby would change positions. The baby moved a lot, sucking on its fingers, and even moved its legs, but they remained crossed the whole time. Oh well! The important thing is that the baby is healthy. Our next appointment is scheduled for May 23rd. I'll be about 21 weeks at that time, and the doctor assured us that the chances of determining the sex are much better at 21 weeks anyway. SO, I guess the booger just enjoys keeping us all in suspense!

16 weeks

Well, here I am at 16 weeks and just starting to get a baby bump! I've been able to feel the baby move for about two weeks now, but this week I have felt the baby a lot. The movements are still very light- it kind of feels like popcorn popping! We're excited because next Friday we have the gender scan. Girl or boy? We'll soon know!

1st Grade Weather Report

Today one of my first graders came inside during recess and this is the conversaton we had:

Student: "It's really really nice out there!"
Me: "How warm is it?"
Student: "Ahh....well...I'd say it's about 1 feets high right now."
Me: "It is 1 feets high warm?"
Student: "Yeah! You don't even need a jacket at all!"

First graders are so wonderful!

14 Weeks

I think I looked bigger last week. Hmm...I must have been bloated!
